Description

TZO Control Tyre 1.0 1/8 Off-Road Buggy Tyres (Set of 4)

The TZO Control Tyre 1.0 is a 1/8 off-road buggy tyre developed for control tyre classes, club racing and major race events. Featuring a large pin tread pattern, it delivers consistent forward traction, predictable handling and extended tyre life across a wide range of off-road track conditions.

Designed to provide reliable performance without favouring a specific track surface, the Control Tyre 1.0 offers racers a balanced combination of forward drive, cornering stability and durability. The larger tread blocks promote even wear while maintaining consistent grip throughout qualifying and main events.

Available in five compound options, the TZO Control Tyre 1.0 allows organisers and racers to select the most appropriate compound for local track conditions while maintaining the benefits of a standardised control tyre.

Why Use a Control Tyre?

A control tyre provides a consistent platform for competition by ensuring all competitors have access to the same tread pattern and performance characteristics. This helps reduce tyre selection variables, simplifies race preparation, and places a greater emphasis on driver skill, vehicle setup and race strategy. Control tyres are commonly used at national and international events to provide a level playing field for all competitors.
