Description
TZO 402 1/8 Off-Road Buggy Tyres (Set of 4)
The TZO 402 is a 1/8 off-road buggy tyre developed for hard-packed, blue-groove and abrasive race surfaces, delivering strong forward traction, balanced handling and consistent performance throughout qualifying and main events. Its medium pin, square lug tread pattern is engineered to maximise the contact patch while maintaining predictable handling across a variety of high-grip track conditions.
The tread features closely spaced lugs to increase the tyre's contact area on grooved and polished surfaces, while wide centre lugs provide exceptional forward drive under acceleration and maintain grip when light dust is present. Rounded tread edges help reduce the likelihood of catching ruts and bumps, resulting in smoother cornering and improved vehicle stability on technical circuits.
Compared with the TZO 202, the 402 places a greater emphasis on forward traction, offering a more balanced driving characteristic with slightly reduced side bite. This makes it an excellent choice for racers looking to maximise acceleration while maintaining predictable handling on loose, grooved and high-grip race surfaces. Its durable tread design also delivers consistent performance on abrasive tracks where tyre wear is a key consideration.
